The next morning we left very early to get the new tires.   It took two vehicles.  I drove Blue Smiley and my dad followed in his truck with the retro wheels safely strapped down in the back.

The old wheels come off....

I drove Blue Smiley on to the lift and they began removing my stock alloy wheels.  I watched as they wrapped the new Black Barum directional tires around the retro wheels.  They were amazed at the blue and all of Blue Smiley's modifications.

...And the new wheels go on.

The new retro wheels went on perfectly.

Then the hubcaps are popped into place.

When the VW hubcaps were put on I became very excited.  I am sure Blue Smiley was too.  My dad followed me home.  He said they look great while driving.
